Yesterday, the Senate passed the legislative proposal by Serban Nicolae (PSD) for a 50% reduction in taxation on construction and economic activities on sandy islands, islands and other land areas, with the crucial vote in the House remaining. According to the rapporteur, this bill aims to “boost economic activity, create jobs and, through them, to gather revenues” for the State Budget.
Economic activities refer, according to the same rapporteur, to the production of RES, tourism, entertainment, retail, gambling and related services. Gambling refers to those games found in casinos, poker clubs, and gaming rooms.
This constitutes an amendment to a law which was voted by the Parliament but was declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court on 5 June 2019. /ibna
