Romania: Nicușor Dan clinches win in Bucharest mayoral race according to final results

The Permanent Election Authority (AEP) announced yesterday the final results of the September 27th municipal elections in Bucharest. Nicușor Dan was elected Mayor of the capital with 282,631 votes (42.81%), while his opponent Gabriela Firea received 250,690 votes (37.97%).

672,004 citizens voted (36.76%)

In the six districts, the winners emerged in the following order:

* Clotilde Armand (USR-PLUS, with the support of PNL) – 36,455 votes (40.94%)

* Radu Nicolae Mihaiu (USR-PLUS) – 42,094 votes (36.90%)

* Robertă Negoiță (PRO București 2020 Alliance) – 58,786 votes (43.74%)

* Daniel Băluță (PSD-PPU SOCIAL-LIBERAL Alliance) – 58,577 votes (57.03%)

* Cristian Popescu Piedone (Partidul Puterii Umaniste Social-Liberal) – 25,902 votes (28.08%)

* Ciprian Ciucu (PNL) – 54,134 votes (43.39%). /ibna
