Romanian President Klaus Iohannis had a phone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the request of the Egyptian side, which constitutes Romania’s main economic partner in Africa and the Middle East.
The telephone call was made after the temporary suspension of grain exports from Romania to countries outside the European Union. The President of Romania stressed that the measure would remain in place only for a short period of time, with the aim of ensuring national food security. President Iohannis stressed that Romania was looking to continue exporting wheat to Egypt as part of the economic relations between the two countries. /ibna
