Romania: Coronavirus incidents reach 158, 19 new confirmed cases

The confirmed number of persons infected with COVID-19 in Romania has reached 158.

Last night, another 19 new cases were recorded – 4 in Arad, 3 in Ilfov, 2 in Vâlcea, 2 in Timişoara and one in Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Sălaj, Buzău, Ialomiţa, Hunedoara, Galaţi and Suceava according to the strategic communication group.

The 19 new cases found positive for coronavirus are between 19 and 54 years old, in quarantine or self-isolation. Most of these new cases traveled to Italy, 2 of which to Austria and Germany.

Persons infected with COVID-19 have been admitted to hospitals in Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Timişoara, Craiova and Constanta and are under constant medical supervision. The general health of patients is good, according to the announcement.

On the territory of Romania, there are 3,008 people in statutory quarantine that are being screened to determine if they have been contacted with COVID – 19. Another 15,546 people are quarantined at home and under medical supervision./ibna
