A survey conducted by BestJobs online recruitment platform showed that 55% of Romanian respondents-employees stated they were very concerned over the increase in coronavirus cases in Romania. The poll shows that 36% of respondents would like more drastic measures to curb the spread of the virus, but 47% believe declaring a new state of emergency would destroy the Romanian economy.
To date, 56,550 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Romania, while 1,309 new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours and a total of 2,521 people have died from the virus. 464 patients are hospitalized in the ICU, while 28,584 people have recovered.
