Robbery attempt in Skopje, one person remains dead

A bloody event has taken place in the early hours of this morning in the quarter of Çair in Skopje. Two armed robbers have broken in the home of two brothers in this quarter, but they were immediately spotted by the family members.

The robbers have initially opened fire, but they have physically confronted the two brothers, B.Z, 36 years of age and M.Z, 40 years of age. One of the robbers has opened fire and a bullet has ended up on the body of his accomplice, causing his death.

The Ministry of Interior informed today that the event has taken place around 3 am and that the robbers had planned the robbery of this home in “Mendeleeva” street in Skopje. Police have also discovered the identity of the killed robber, Abdulla Gafurri, 22 years of age. The person in question had been previously labeled by police for criminal offenses. The second robber is a fugitive and police have launched a manhunt. /ibna/
