Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Albania, Edmond Haxhinasto said today that the new changes in the road code aim at strengthening the rule of law.
“The amendments of the road code are part of the National Plan of Road Security, approved in January this year and aim at increasing safety on the road, the application of the law, the protection of public property, as an important asset for the state and taxpayers”, said the minister.
He said that these remain the basic elements of the incentive to amend the code and that they aim at enforcing the law, improving civil behavior and raising awareness among the citizens.
“The measures against the destruction of road signs are necessary and urgent, because today we’re facing many abuses with them. Damages caused to road signs decrease road safety”, said minister Haxhinasto. /ibna/
