Republika Srpska prepares to introduce a state of emergency

The Republika Srpska Government will send a request to the Republika Srpska National Assembly to hold a special session in order to declare a state of emergency in the territory of Republika Srpska, according to a statement from the Office of the Republika Srpska President.

The request is based on Article 70 of the Republika Srpska Constitution and Article 38 of the Law on the Republika Srpska Government, it was concluded at a meeting called by Republika Srpska President Željka Cvijanović. At the meeting, participants agreed that the government officially requests from the Republika Srpska National Assembly to hold a special session.

Leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), the biggest political party in Republika Srpska, and Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said on public television that there are some individuals who do not grasp the seriousness of the situation and that is the reason a state of emergency is introduced in RS. A few days ago, this BiH entity introduced a “situation of emergency”, an unknown category to citizens.

BiH recently introduced a “state of natural or other disasters” which, along with the “state of natural disaster” in Federation BiH, now additionally confuses the citizens. In fact, almost half of ten cantons in F BiH did not introduce any kind of emergency state.

This means that from Saturday, BiH at a state level will be on one level of emergency, the entities on other and different levels and cantons on some third or fourth level.

The miracle called Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue, again and again, to surprise its own citizens./ibna
