A meeting was held today in Pristina between the representatives of the countries involved in the EU enlargement policies and European Commission, to discuss regional projects funded by Instrument of Pre Accession (IPA) funds.
The host of this meeting, Kosovo’s European Integration Minister, Bekim Collaku, has considered the meeting as very important, but he said that the meeting serves to jointly drive the countries toward the pre accession mechanisms.
He said that the projects that are expected to be funded by IPA in 2016 for the countries of the region amount to 390 million Euros.
According to him, Kosovo’s regional cooperation has grown and this helps in the process of European integration.
Minister Collaku said that Kosovo plays an important role in the promotion of regional incentives for economic cooperation and good neighborly relations.
“Recently, regional cooperation has been growing and this helps in the process of European integration. I’m happy that Kosovo is playing an important role not only as a participator, but also a contributor in these incentives of joint benefit and the promotion of good neighboring relations”, Collaku said. /ibna/
