Macedonian authorities continue to keep the border closed and not allowing any refugees to enter the country.
According to the information of the Ministry of Interior, no refugees from African or Asian countries have arrived in the welcome center of Gevgelija in the past 72 hours.
A decision is expected to be made by the State’s Steering Committee as to what will be the measures that will be applied in the days to come, because as of Monday, the border has been closed not allowing refugees to enter from the Greek territory.
In the northern border in Tabanovce, there are around 1500 refugees which are not being allowed to enter Serbia.
Authorities in Skopje and Serbia closed the border after Slovenia’s and Croatia’s decision and also of other EU member countries not to accept any more refugees.
As it was declared by the minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Popovski, FYROM will apply all measures in harmony with the EU.
Thousands of refugees have been blocked in the border with Greece facing the heavy rains that have fallen recently. /ibna/
