Over 3 thousand refugees have arrived last night in FYROM, in order to continue their journey to West European countries. A large part of them have been accommodated in the temporary center in Gevgeli.
Macedonian police informed today that in cooperation with Greek authorities, they are trying to allow the entry of smaller groups, because the accommodation center in Gevgeli doesn’t have the necessary capacities to receive that number of refugees all at once.
Yesterday, four trains carried refugees from Gevgeli to the border crossing point with Serbia.
Another four trains are expected to depart today toward the border with Serbia, where humanitarian organizations and Serb police are expecting to send the refugees to Presevo for registration and then send them to the border area with Hungary.
The Interior Ministry said that so far, around 57 thousand refugees, who have entered the territory of the country, have been registered. These refugees are mainly Syrians, Afghans and Iraqis. /ibna/
