Philip Reeker, who is soon expected to take over the post of US assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, declared after a meeting with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, that he’s proud about the agreement that the country achieved with Greece. After confirming the support of his country for the accession of North Macedonia to NATO, the US senior official once again reiterated the importance of the Prespa agreement and the reforms in the country. According to him, this agreement should be considered as a model for the country.
On his part, PM Zaev thanked the US senior official for the assistance provided so far and assured Mr. Reeker that reforms will continue in order to open the country’s accession talks with the EU in June this year.
