Serbia’s Foreign minister, Ivica Dacic has declared today that Serbia is being pressured into reaching an agreement with Kosovo during this year or next year.
Dacic has continued to insist on his idea that the recognition of the independence of Kosovo is a reversible process, mentioning the problems in New Papua Guinea, which is holding a referendum of independence in a part of its territory.
“How can it be irreversible if there are countries that want to withdraw their decision for the recognition? A large number of countries are reflecting today about their decision to recognize Kosovo. Many of them have similar problems, such as Papua New Guinea, which is holding a referendum for the independence of a part of its territory”, the minister said.
According to him, the Western Balkan countries who recognized the independence of Kosovo, upheld the policies that they applied in the ‘90s.
Meanwhile, Dacic said that the number of countries recognizing Kosovo may be reduced to under 100. /ibna/
