“Albania’s contribution as part of North Atlantic Alliance is valued”.
This was the message posted today by Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama on social networks, while he’s attending the NATO summit taking place in Brussels.
According to him, this positive assessment has come “thanks to the increase of the defence budget, a 13% rate of participation of our troops in joint fronts and the active participation in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism”.
The Albanian PM also says that that “praising the deal reached between Athens and Skopje, Albania supports the launch of procedures for the accession of the Republic of North Macedonia in the NATO”.
During his stay in Brussels, the head of the Albanian government also had a meeting with NATO’s Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg. /ibna/
