The government of FYROM has declared that it is on its way to finalizing a project for the construction of the railway line linking Kercova to Lin, which in turn links FYROM to Albania. The minister of Transport, Goran Sugarevski said that this project has the backing of the European Union, but its completion requires 500 million euros.
“There is a railway line as far as Lin. What we need to do now is build the part which is missing, by making this project our priority. The value of this project may be around 500 million euros”, minister Sugarevski said.
With this new project, the two countries are expected to have better exchanges in terms of goods and people. The most optimistic forecast is for this railway line to be complete by 2022. /balkaneu.com/
