The latest report on the Quality of Air in Europe for 2016 confirms that its deterioration has caused a significant number of deaths in Albania.
The number of people who have died as a result of air pollution is 2120.
This phenomenon has deteriorated from one year to another. Let us recall that in 2013, the number of deaths caused by air pollution in Albania was 776 and three years later, this figure has almost doubled.
On its part, the report in question says that in general, air pollution in Western Balkan countries is turning into a fatal problem, also due to the energy policies being followed by these countries. The list is led by Serbia with 10.730 victims last year. /balkaneu.com/
