The fourth edition of the puppet show festival will kick off today in Kosovo. This festival will last until September 27 and it will be held in the “Dodona” theater in Pristina.
In this cultural event, children will be able to enjoy shows from the region, which bring in different topics.
For the director of this theater, Agron Shala, the puppet show festival is becoming more and more special and it’s attracting a lot of interest from other countries of the region.
Shala says that this is a competitive festival. Nevertheless, the little care shown for this theater remains a concern. Dodona continues to operate with only five actors and only two types of puppets.
This concern was also articulated by the theater’s director, Melihate Qena. According to her, this theater has never received the attention that it deserves.
This festival is being supported by the commune of Pristina and representatives from this commune say that they intend to expand this festival even more and organize other festivals for children.
“The rainbow’s colors” from Zagreb will open the festival this afternoon The festival will then continue with shows from Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia and other countries. /ibna/
