Prosecutor decides not to pursue alleged bribery case of Greek MP

In the file enters the case of the bribery accusations of the Independent Greeks (ANEL) MP Pavlos Chaikalis by the businessman Giorgos Apostolopoulos.

The conclusive report of Prosecutor Panos Panagiotopoulos was given to Chief Prosecutor of Athens Isidoros Dogiakos around 19.00 and in it he reports that “The allegations of the MP Pavlos Chaikalis were not confirmed”.

Panagiotopoulos held that the recorded and taped material that was given to him by the ANEL MP is illegal and therefore cannot use it.

In order to reach this judgment, Panagiotopoulos took into consideration only the testimony of the witnesses or suspects involved.
