Prominent Albanian soprano wins the International Opera Awards

The world known Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho has been announced winner of the International Opera Awards. This is the main event for classical music in the world and is also known as the “Oscars” of World Opera.

Ermonela Jaho was nominated for the Reader’s Award category and prevailed among many world prominent figures.

This prestigious award was given on Sunday evening in the Savoy Theater in London. In the award ceremony, Ermonela Jaho interpreted “Un Bel Di” from Madame Butterfly.

“The Public’s Award in the 2016 Opera Awards goes to the extraordinary Ermonela Jaho”, declared the central office of the International Opera Awards.

The soprano said that she was very happy after she was announced a winner: “I want to thank all my fans all over the world and especially those in Albania for their support and love. Whoever dedicates their life towards their passion, is always a winner”, Mrs. Jaho said. /balkaneu.com/
