On Thursday, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Duško Marković welcomed and hosted Dr. Ralph de la Torre, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Steward Health Care System, the largest U.S. private hospital operator.
The Montenegrin Health minister Kenan Hrapović was also present at the meeting.
Duško Marković “pointed out”, according to the official presidential web page, “the need for Montenegro to accelerate the systematic improvement of the healthcare system in the shortest possible period in order to provide citizens with health services at the highest level. This need is further enhanced by the record increase in the arrival of foreign tourists, the upcoming opening of hotel capacities of renowned international companies and the growing interest of respectable investors for investments in our country, it was concluded at the meeting.”
Dr. Ralph de la Torre positively assessed the country’s potential for investment, “expressed willingness to partner with the Government to improve the efficiency and quality” of Montenegro’s healthcare system, saying that he will return to the country in the near future so as to “continue talks on the currently agreed modalities of cooperation.”… / IBNA
