The Central Election Commission in FYROM declared today that it is preparing the June 5 early elections. After approving the decision that all the conditions to hold the elections on this date have been met, CEC has also accepted the list of the Ministry of Interior relating to the completion of the voters’ list, which has been sent by the deputy Minister of Interior, Mitko Cavkov.
According to the list sent by Cavkov, another 5 thousand voters have been added to the list of voters. But this report which has been delivered by the deputy minister has not been approved by the Minister of Interior, Oliver Spasovski.
These clashes are taking place as this ministry is being led by a minister belonging to the largest opposition party SDSM, while deputy minister Mitko Cavkov comes from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE.
As a result of these clashes, the Electoral Commission has not accepted the data report from the verification of the voters’ list, but it has approved the budget for the elections which will be 7,5 million euros. /balkaneu.com/
