Authorities of Kosovo say that Serbia must fulfill 5 conditions in order to have a full normalization of relations between the two countries.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj has detailed these 5 conditions from Berlin, in Germany, where he’s on an official visit and where he held official meetings with German Bundestag MPs and personalities of public life in Germany.
Speaking on the dynamic of the dialogue for the normalization of relations between Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Serbia, minister Hoxhaj presented the 5 conditions that he said “will fully normalize in the long run relations between the two independent and sovereign states”.
According to him, the starting point for this is for Serbia to implement all agreements reached in the talks with Kosovo.
“Secondly, Serbia must dismantle all parallel illegal structures in the Republic of Kosovo. Thirdly, it must allow the integration of the Serb community in the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo”, added Hoxhaj.
He said that the fourth condition that Serbia must fulfill consists on not blocking Kosovo’s accession in different European organizations and in the United Nations.
“The last condition consists on the mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia as two independent and sovereign states. We can only say that relations have been normalized once these conditions are fulfilled”, said Hoxhaj in front of German Bundestag MPs, who were interested to know more about the dynamic of talks between the Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Serbia.
Hoxhaj demanded from German MPs for Bundestag to continue to be engaged in this process.
During his stay in Berlin, minister Hoxhaj has been received by the Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who assured minister Hoxhaj that Germany will continue to support Kosovo in its European path. /ibna/
