The head of the Secret Services is also sacked. The decisions come only a few hours after six Turkish teachers were stopped at the airport of Pristina to be extradited following a request made by Erdogan’s administration
Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj has sacked today the minister of Interior, Flamur Sefaj and the head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Driton Gashi, IBNA reports.
Up until today, Flamur Sefaj was minister of Interior, but he left this post upon the decision of the Prime Minister, a few hours after six Turkish teachers were stopped at the airport of Pristina, to be extradited following a request made by Erdogan’s administration.
Haradinaj has also discharged the former secretary of the ministry of Interior, Driton Gashi, who had been appointed a while ago as head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency.
“I’d like to stress that yesterday’s actions in this case (concerning the Turkish nationals) were completely unacceptable and went against our values and principles as a nation and state”, the document signed by Haradinaj states.
The six Turkish teachers were headmasters of the Gulistan Turkish private schools. /balkaneu.com/
