Prime Minister of Kosovo discusses the recognition of Kosovo with the Bulgarian counterpart

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has met with his Bulgarian counterpart, Marin Raykov and the President of Bulgarian, Rossen Plevneleiv in Sofia. The two prime ministers have agreed to sign in the future a memorandum of cooperation in relation to the support in the framework of the European integration process.

According to the press release issued by the Prime Minister’s office, Rayokov has praised the contribution of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in this process.

“The European Union supports the European perspective of Kosovo. We expect the five EU countries to soon recognize the independence of Kosovo. These countries have supported the plan of President Ahtisaari, on which the independence of Kosovo was based on. Therefore, we expect these countries to soon recognize the independence of Kosovo, because they have no reason whatsoever to delay this process. These countries support our European agenda”, said Thaci.

Meanwhile, the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Raykov has said that Bulgaria will strongly support Kosovo in the path of European integration. He has also talked about the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. “The European future of both countries is secured through this agreement”, added Raykov. /ibna/
