Prime minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci held a lecture today in front of students at the Public University of Prizren, where he reconfirmed his decision to reduce the fee for school terms by 50%, and also the fee for dormitories and canteen for all students of public universities.

Prime minister Thaci has invited students to help him win what he considered as the third battle of European Kosovo and of the economic development.

“I invite you to help, in order to be together because together we can make it. We won the battle of freedom against Serbia, we won the battle for independence and now we must win the third battle for a European Kosovo, that of economic development, where unemployment will be two times smaller”, said he.

Thaci has also promised students that the employment fund will amount to 1 billion Euros and it will benefit all those businesses which open new jobs and increase production.

Ahead of the electoral campaign, prime minister of Kosovo is considering students of the University of Pristina as a target group to secure his victory in the next parliamentary elections.

In the past few days, Mr. Thaci took a decision to reduce by 50% the fee for bachelor and master studies. He also reduced by 50% the fee for students who eat in the canteen and those who sleep in dormitories.

Prime minister Thaci says that the decision has been taken following consults with the government cabinet, taking into account the need for better living conditions for 60 thousand students of the public university. /ibna/
