The price of fuels in FYR Macedonia continues to rise, following a period when consumers were taking advantage of the low prices that hadn’t changed. But the start of the year saw a gradual increase of the price of fuel and in the past five months, the price has increased by 20%.
As of last night, the price of fuel has increased by 3 denars a liter, taking the price of petrol to 74 denars per liter or 1.20 Euros and the price of diesel to 98 Euro cent.
The Energy Regulatory Committee said that the increase of price has been affected by the increase of the price in world markets in the past two weeks, but also the rise of the currency rate for the US dollar as opposed to the domestic currency, Denar. /ibna/
