President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has invited parliamentary parties in a meeting on Thursday, in order to decide on the date of the snap parliamentary elections, the President’s office informs.
Mr. Thaci’s invitation has been sent to the political parties which are represented in the Parliament of Kosovo, with the aim of “holding consults to decide the election date following the dissolution of the Parliament of Kosovo”.
President Thaci signed on Wednesday the decree for the dissolution of the Parliament of Kosovo, after MPs voted a no confidence motion against the government led by Isa Mustafa.
According to the law, the elections must be held no earlier than 30 days and no later than 45 days from the date of the dissolution of the Parliament.
The no confidence motion which was filed by opposition MPs was also voted by a part of the governing coalition. /balkaneu.com/
