Thanks to the joint efforts of Albania and the European Commission, member countries will be persuaded about the launch of Albania’s accession talks during the Bulgarian 6 month rotating presidency.
This was said by the President of Albania, Ilir Meta during a meeting that he held with the high delegation of the European Commission led by President Jean Claude Juncker.
The Albanian President considered this visit as very encouraging for Albania.
Among others, he also pointed out the fact that Albanian parliamentary forces share the same objective for Albania’s full integration in the EU and they all wish for the country to launch accession talks as soon as possible.
Stressing the importance of the 5 key priorities, President Meta said that the results are the ones that boost confidence among Albanian citizens and EU member countries.
Stopping on developments in Western Balkans, President Meta said that the visa regime should be lifted as soon as possible for the citizens of Kosovo, with the hope that the border deal between Montenegro and Kosovo will be finalized as soon as possible. /balkaneu.com/
