President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga has participated in the traditional reception hosted by the US president, Barack Obama, to honor the leaders of the countries that participated in the annual session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
The presidency has informed that the meeting took place on Thursday evening and that the president was received by president Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama.
During her participation in the UN General Assembly session, president Jahjaga has held meetings with counterparts and representatives of other countries, informing them on the achievements of Kosovo and demanding support for the recognition of Kosovo by countries that still haven’t done this.
Meanwhile, today, president Jahjaga is expected to meet with the vice secretary of State for Europe and Asia, ambassador Victoria Nuland to talk about the crisis which followed the parliamentary elections in Kosovo. /ibna/
