Vice assistant US Secretary of State, Hoyt Yee has had a meeting today with the President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga.
According to the statement issued by the president’s office, Jahjaga and Yee talked about the current developments in Kosovo. “The meeting discussed about the process of dialogue and normalization of relations between Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Serbia, that of European integration for the entire Balkan region and international consolidation of Kosovo”, states the press release of the president’s office.
In this meeting, Jahjaga said that relations between Kosovo and USA are excellent and has talked about the importance of USA’s support for Kosovo. By praising the intensity of relations between the countries of Southeastern European countries in the recent years, president Jahjaga said that important steps have been taken in this aspect, especially in the dialogue held between Republic of Kosovo and that of Serbia”, states the press release.
Meanwhile, the US vice assistant Secretary of State, Hoyt Yee said that Kosovo has made achievements and added that USA will continue to help it in the processes that it’s going through. /ibna/
