President Jahjaga encourages CEC for a constitutional and legal organization of the elections

Pristina, September 2, 2013

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga has sent a public letter addressed to the Central Election Commission. She has encouraged this institution to take constitutional decisions.

“I encourage the Central Election Commission to find legal solutions that respect the constitutionality and legitimacy of the Republic of Kosovo in order to insure a comprehensive participation in the November 3 elections”, states the letter of the president.

Jahjaga has also encouraged citizens to participate in the elections.

“These local government elections are of a special importance because they’re held in all the territory of Kosovo at the same time. The participation of all the citizens of Kosovo including the Serb community in the November 3 elections are of a special importance for their future and democratic processes of Kosovo”, further states Jahjaga’s letter.

Central Election Commission and political parties are working during these days for the preparation of November 3 local elections. /ibna/
