President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga has gathered today in a meeting the heads of the main institutions of the state, of which she has demanded the implementation of the agreements reached between Kosovo and Serbia.

Jahjaga told the highest leaders of the country in the domain of security and judiciary system, to have further harmonization of institutions which have a duty to preserve law and order in the entire territory of Kosovo, a constant implementation of the agreements brokered by the European Union with the Republic of Serbia and the acceleration of reforms that relate to the delivery of the standards for the integration of Kosovo and the process of the visa free regime.

It must be stressed that the implementation of the agreements reached with Serbia have entered a delicate phase, after the entry of the country into a political gridlock and the involvement of Self Determination in the political coalition which pretends to govern the country.

According to the agreement signed by Self Determination and opposition bloc, this party will lead negotiations with Serbia.

This has led to the international community to react by demanding for the talks with Serbia not to be suspended, but to be resumed as soon as possible.

President in this meeting were prime minister Hashim Thaci, general attorney Syle Hoxha, head of the Judicial Council of Kosovo, Enver Peci, head of the Police of Kosovo, Shpend Maxhini and the deputy director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Muharrem Ajeti.

The scope of the meeting was to assess the current developments in the country after the latest session at the Security Council on Kosovo and ahead of the General Assembly of UNO. /ibna/
