President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga has sent a message of congratulations to the President of the United States of America, Mr. Barack Obama on the occasion of the anniversary of the independence of the USA.
“On behalf of the people of the Republic of Kosovo, on behalf of its institutions and on my behalf, I want to express my utmost wishes to you and the American people on this anniversary of the proclamation of independence”, reads Jahjaga’s telegram.
In this telegram, Jahjaga says that the United States have brought peace, freedom and democracy to nations all around the world.
“Your commitment toward these values inspires us all to continue and strengthen these ideals. I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and that of the people of Kosovo for the constant support given by American people, who were besides us in difficult times, in order to make sure that the citizens of Kosovo, along with their strategic allies, establish a democratic state in which all citizens have their equal rights. We will always remain grateful for the support and for enabling the citizens of Kosovo to live freely and in peace”, reads the telegram.
“I’d like to assure you that we remain committed in providing a democratic functioning of our institutions, rule of law, integration of communities and the strengthening of our position as a factor of peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond. Kosovo is determined in its Euro Atlantic perspective and we’re convinced that you will continue to be our partner and closest ally until these objectives are met”, said Jahjaga. /ibna/
