President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga met today with representatives of the Police of Kosovo and general director, Shpend Maxhuni.
Jahjaga and Maxhuni talked about the work and efforts of the police of Kosovo in preserving law and order and providing safety for the citizens.
General Director of the Police of Kosovo, Shpend Maxhuni briefed president Jahjaga on the work, activities and challenges that police of Kosovo faces.
He said that the members of the Police of Kosovo continue to show their commitment in providing safety to the citizens of the country.
On her part, the president of the country said that this visit is an institutional support for this very important mechanism of security for all the citizens of the country.
According to her, police of Kosovo has managed to show professionalism and commitment in its work and it’s doing a very good job for the national security.
“We’re committed on protecting the freedom of each citizen of our country. Justice belongs to all the citizens of Kosovo and whoever is not on this side, will face the law”, said she.
Jahjaga has also commented the latest police operation for the arrest of terrorist suspects.
“The latest operation of the Police of Kosovo in catching individuals suspected of terrorism, has shown the excellent cooperation that exists between law enforcement agencies in the Republic of Kosovo and also the determination of this institution to defend national security in our country”, said Jahjaga. /ibna/
