President Anastasiades: “I will never tolerate the breach of privacy”

“I do not and never will tolerate the breach of privacy against any citizen or politician”, President Nicos Anastasiades stated this evening.

Speaking to the press in Limassol, the President of the Republic, when asked whether after the meeting today with the Secretary General of AKEL the van-related issue has come to an end, the President replied “but the investigation is not over yet. I have made my intention for the case to be thoroughly investigated very clear. What I do not and never will tolerate is the breach of privacy of any citizen or politician”.

When asked whether he had looked into the Auditor General’s findings on the subject of the Presidency’s delegations abroad, the President responded that “I did not have time to see the report, I was busy speaking to DEFA to secure the halloumi. And then there is the Cyprus issue, which comes first. In time I will have a look and comment on all the findings”. /ibna
