Premier Rama reacts over accusations of the opposition for electoral fraud

Tirana, November 7, 2013

Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted today in parliament toward the declaration of the democrat MP, Sokol Olldashi, who said that this is the most disgraceful parliamentary session.

Rama said that he agrees with the old democrat MP that this is the most disgraceful parliamentary session, adding that he has seen more disgraceful sessions from the TV screen.

Rama added that the Democratic Party was in power for 8 years and reduced Albania to an unprecedented state. In relation to the accusations of the opposition about the affair that was made public in television a few days ago where students in Korca were filmed taking money from the electoral staff of the Socialist Party in this city in exchange of their vote, Rama said that it’s disgraceful to discuss a matter where several young people were given money to pay for their journey and who later made themselves available for the prosecution to be investigated.

Rama said that the interpretation of this issue by democrats can be verified through justice institutions and through channels which are sanctioned by the law and Constitution. /ibna/
