National Theatre of Kosovo will see tonight the premier of ballet “Othello”. This is the first premier for this year at the National Theater of Kosovo.
In this ballet which will be directed by the prominent choreograph, Pellumb Agalliu, Othello doesn’t lead a concrete war, but a spiritual one.
The choreographer tries to present the philosophical side of a man who achieved many things and as a result of jealousy, he lost everything.
However, the main focus of the narrative will be the intrigue that the famous work from Shakespeare conceals.
“Kosovo’s ballet troop has a high artistic discipline and within a week, managed to prepare the main parts of the ballet. I’m very happy for several reasons. First of all it was the nostalgia to put a ballet on stage after so many years in Pristina and the great desire that I, as a choreograph had to offer a contribution for this troop”, said among others Pellumb Agalliu.
The director of Kosovo’s National Ballet, Ahmet Brahimaj, said that he was happy with the work that has been done and he thanked not only the choreographer, but all the organizers of the ballet.
Meanwhile, ballet dancers said that it was an honor for them to work with Agalliu.
“I’m very grateful, because for a month, he has worked in a very sincere manner and he has shown an extraordinary positivism. Ballet “Othello” is a great piece and of course there are different challenges, for which we’re grateful to professor Pellumb for making our job easier”, said Sinan Kajtazi, a ballerina. /ibna/
