President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci declared in a forum hosted by “Speak” movement, that he will be committed for the decriminalization of politics.

“Incriminated people must not be part of institutions, agencies or steering committees. No political parties must have such candidates in their electoral lists”, Thaci said.

“The justice system is another priority for me. We have a very good legal framework, but we have found several gaps in the Kosovo Criminal Code. We will have important amendments in order for nobody to be above the law”, Thaci said.

The president also said that during his mandate, he will be engaged to promote dialogue in Kosovo.

Thaci stressed that Kosovo has good relations with the countries of the region and that relations between Kosovo and Serbia are better than before.

Thaci has demanded from Serbia to implement all the agreements achieved in the dialogue between the two sides in Brussels.

“I continue to believe that good neighboring relations between Kosovo and Serbia means peace for other countries of the region. Normalization of relations and reconciliation between Albanians and Serbs or between pristine and Belgrade, means normalization for all of Albanians in the region and for all ethnic groups that live in our region”, Thaci said. /balkaneu.com/
