Last night, the main four political parties in FYR Macedonia could not strike a deal on the last point of the June 2 political agreement, namely the reform on the media. This will decide the stance of the EU and USA as to whether there are suitable conditions to hold the elections on April 24.
EU envoy, Peter Vanhoute declared that the failure of negotiations is a responsibility of all political players.
“The reform in the media remains one of the key issues which will decide the opinion of the international community”, Vanhoute said.
The four political parties disagree on the composition of the Media Regulatory Body, government ads and the composition of the Steering Committee of the Macedonian Radio and Television. /ibna/
