President of the country, Atifete Jahjaga has met today with leaders of political parties in an attempt to find a solution for the political crisis.

After the meeting, the representative of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Hajredin Kuci said that they have positively responded to the invitation of the president in an attempt to find a solution.

“PDK cannot change its positioning. We believe that everyone must respect the will of the voters. Elections are the last option. If they’re imposed, then we will head to elections”, said Kuci, adding that PDK must be more constructive.

Meanwhile, representative of the opposition bloc and leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj said that the bloc insists that it has the majority and that it is entitled to form the institutions.

According to him, on Thursday, PDK will attempt to run its candidate for speaker of parliament and if it fails, the parliamentary majority will decide about the formation of institutions.

Meanwhile, Haradinaj didn’t say what action will be taken if the chair of the session, Flora Brovina will end the session immediately after PDK’s failure to secure the votes for its candidate.

Asked by journalists if AAK would back a name for a consensual prime minister, Haradinaj said that yes and that he’s a consensual prime minister, referring to the agreement that opposition parties have signed in order for him to be the prime minister nominee.

President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga told party leaders that she will come up with a concrete proposal for a solution to the crisis within 48 hours.

This was declared by the leader of Srpska List, Aleksander Jablanovic, who after the meeting with president Jahjaga, says that they will vote in favor of PDK’s candidate if he secures 52 votes. /ibna/
