The speaker of Parliament in Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, decided to end today’s parliamentary session following two consecutive attempts of the opposition to block the proceedings.

But, Friday’s session was also cancelled.

LDK’s MP, Besa Gaxherri said that parliament must create the necessary conditions for normal proceedings. She said that she appreciates the flexibility of parliamentary speaker Kadri Veseli, adding that it’s unreasonable that the opposition has so far blocked three parliamentary sessions.

She said that they are expecting a solution for this situation.

Meanwhile, PDK lawmaker, Blerta Deliu said that the fact that parliamentary proceedings have been blocked, is unacceptable.

“This opposition has been blocking the work of institutions for six months in a row and it continues to do this in the highest institution of the country”, she declared.

Opposition warns radical measures and escalation of the situation

The representatives of three opposition parties, Self Determination, AAK and Incentive, issued a press conference today where they warned that the situation in the country will escalate.

Self Determination MP, Glauk Konjufca said that the opposition will escalate its actions, calling for street protests, which can lead to a deterioration of the situation in the country.

He said that if this happens, then prime minister Isa Mustafa will be responsible, as he’s not agreeing to withdraw from the Brussels agreements that he has signed.

According to him, protests will be massive, because 100 thousand citizens have signed the petition against the association. /ibna/
