Foreign Minister of FYROM, Nikola Poposki declared that the political crisis in FYR Macedonia, has a serious impact on the issue of the name dispute.
“Due to the political crisis, no attention is being given to the long blockade that we’ve suffered for NATO and EU accession. The name dispute has been put aside and it will not be handled until we solve the domestic political crisis. As a state, we’re interested for it to be solved as soon as possible”, Poposki declared.
According to him, every delay in decision making leads to threats for domestic cohesion and may turn the country into a place where the international community will settle its affairs.
Poposki made these comments at the end of the proceedings of the CEI meeting held in Ohrid. /ibna/
