A court in Skopje has turned down today the motion filed by former PM of FYR Macedonia, Vlado Buckovski to have his two year sentence quashed.
Buckovski had been sentenced along with the chief of staff of the army of FYROM, Metodije Stambolijski, in 2001, for their involvement in the sale of used tank parts, which had caused the state a 2.5 million Euro damage.
Media in Skopje have reported that once the decision takes effect after eight days, Buckovski must start his prison sentence.
