The government of Albania has a lot to do in order to deliver the necessary criteria for the opening of EU negotiations.
This was confirmed by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama in a joint press conference with the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn.
“We’re ready to start preparations for the opening of negotiations and deliver everything that was required of us. We will not waste another moment, although we have 12 months of hard work and preparations for formal negotiations”, Rama said.
Meanwhile, commissioner Hahn said that the EU will assist the process for the implementation of reforms that Albania needs to deliver.
“Work should begin before the summer holidays. We will talk to the government and the opposition, because this is a national objective. This is a common objective that belongs to all of us”, Hahn said. /ibna/
