Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama has expressed his fear that the Constitutional Court may block the Vetting law and according to him, this will block the launch of talks between Albania and the EU.
“It will not be easy. I’m afraid that the Constitutional Court may block this law and may alter the law in such way as it may become a shield for corrupt judges and become an obstacle for Albania’s integration”.
Mr. Rama also launched strong accusations against the Constitutional Court when he said that they’re scared of the vetting. “Who in their sane mind and would love his country, would do such thing to his fatherland?! I’ll tell you who: Those who are scared of the vetting. Those who are scared of the idea that the system must go to the best and become a system that functions for all common people”.
Mr. Rama made these declarations in last night’s ceremony for the graduation of the Faculty of Justice at the Tirana State University.
Mr. Rama made these strong declarations while present in this ceremony was also the chief justice of the Constitutional Court, Bashkim Dedja. /balkaneu.com/
