PM Mustafa demands deep reforms in the administration

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa demanded today more efforts to be made for the reform in the public administration.

“We have pledged that within a reasonable period of time, we will complete the Strategic Framework for the three crucial pillars that relate to the public administration”, Mustafa said in the meeting of the Council of Ministers for the Reform on Public Administration.

Mustafa also mentioned the progress marked in this domain.

“We can say that we have approved the Strategy for the Digitalization of Public Administration, the Strategy for Coordination of Policies and Strategy for Good Regulation, while next year, we are expecting to approve the Strategy for the Management of Public Finances”, PM Mustafa said.

Mustafa said that this reform relates to good governance, but also to the process of European integration.

The 2015 Progress Report recognized Kosovo’s progress in the legal framework and strategic framework regarding public administration, but stated that accountability and efficiency must be improved.

Minister of Public Administration, who also chairs the Ministerial Council, Mahir Yagcilar believes that more work will be done to implement the reform in administration. /ibna/
