Prime Minister of FYR Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski declared that he feels sorry about the accusations of the opposition for forgery of passports. His reaction followed the publication of footage which showed an unknown location where passports were being produced.

Gruevski said that it’s impossible to have such a mass production of passports.

“The opposition is focused in holding a campaign filled with speculations. A few days ago, someone told me that the machine that produces passports has a weight of 1,5 tons, while the footage shows machines that are very small. These are lowly accusations. Once the elections take place, they will blame someone else about their defeat”, declared PM Gruevski.

Gruevski said that it’s absurd to claim the forgery of 200 thousand passports during the elections, as such thing would be discovered immediately. Meanwhile, prosecution has launched an inquiry on this case, as the opposition insisted on a more detailed investigation.

The scandal broke out last week with the publication of a video, which showed a private house used for the production of travel documents, which seem to be identical to Macedonian passports. /ibna/
