Prime Minister of FYR Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski had a telephone conversation today with his Greek counterpart, Alexis Tsipras.
This was announced by the government’s press office in Skopje through a press release, which underlined the fact that PM Gruevski has congratulated his Greek counterpart on his election as the head of the Greek government wishing him all the best on the challenges that he will face ahead.
Gruevski has also expressed his interest for him and Tsipras to talk about issues of collaboration and neighboring relations.
“Both countries must contribute and engage more in order to advance bilateral issues, to solve pending issues and to build up a constructive atmosphere of cooperation in different domains between the governments of both countries”, said Gruevski.
This was the first conversation between the two PMs, but it’s not yet known if a meeting has been scheduled between the two heads of governments.
So far, the Greek government has declared that the name dispute issue is not its priority and that its positioning doesn’t differ from previous Greek governments//ibna/
