Green colour comes in many shades and all or at least most of them are possible to find in a small area in central part of Croatia.

Plitvice Lakes, one of seven Croatian national parks, is the most popular and most visited. There is a good reason for that – the beauty which nature set here is impossible to find on many places in the world. Nature was very generous here. Several lakes linked with waterfalls are the reason why hundreds of thousands tourists visit this place every year. Most of them are from European countries but also a large number of those who came from Asia is visible on every step. An elderly woman from Japan discovered that she was amazed with the natural scenery she saw at this place.

“A lot of young Japan citizens come to see what Europe has to show them, but this place is one of those that leave the strongest impression”, she said in an informal conversation.

Visitors have the chance to see a big part of the national park. There are a lot of paths one can walk on, which are well organized and it is not difficult to find the your way aorund. Some places are overcrowded but on some it is possible to find real peace and tranquility. Just a short look on all the shades of green is reason enough for someone to feel the serenity. And, yes – it looks like as if nature here invented the colour green and has never stopped playing with it.
