A pilot project for the registration of the population started today in North Macedonia. This pilot project precedes the process itself which is scheduled to take place in April next year.
The country’s office for statistics announced that this pilot project will apply in 13 municipalities in the country. This office also says that the registration will take place for statistical purposes and that it will not generate data.
Macedonian opposition has announced the boycott of this process if there’s no dialogue to further discuss this law. The census project will have a cost of around 8.5 million euros. /ibna/
